Founder of The Still State Meditation & Mindfulness Instruction, Marcy Westcott spent 20 years in sales and service management with American Honda Motor Company. There she experienced firsthand how stress and anxiety in the workplace affect the well-being of people both personally and professionally.
Over the last 17 years as an entrepreneur, Marcy has served in leadership positions on boards of non-profits and civic organizations. She is a meditation and mindfulness teacher/trainer through the McLean Meditation Institute and is certified as a trainer for MMI Mindful Training Company, and delivers a workplace mindfulness training program to enhance productivity and reduce stress in workplaces everywhere.
In the spirit of her teacher, Sarah McLean, Marcy teaches techniques, not traditions. While Marcy’s personal practice is more spiritual in nature, it was clear very early on as a young teacher that her path is to teach secular, accessible techniques with an approach that is science and evidence-based. She hopes that she can impact those who might never have considered bringing meditation into their lives.
Marcy’s work has been published on LinkedIn, Elephant Journal, and Thrive Global, and is a popular podcast guest. She works with individuals, businesses, and other organizations. Marcy is passionate about meditation and mindfulness and is dedicated and honored to help anyone discover the life-changing benefits of establishing a meditation and mindfulness practice. In 2023 Marcy was voted as a NAWBO San Antonio Woman Business of the Year Finalist.
