Dr. Karen Neil has taught mindfulness and health skills in schools, workplaces, higher education, and health settings for over 15 years. She has a keen interest in the connection between individual and planetary health.

She is a health coach, pharmacist, mental health first aider, and trustee with the Institute of Health Promotion and Education. In 2020, she was awarded a Global Health and Pharm Award: Most Innovative Health and Wellbeing Education Specialist (Midlands, United Kingdom).

In England, Karen runs one-to-one and group health coaching and mindfulness courses, mindfulness teacher supervision and mentoring, and support for performance anxiety.

It was during retreats with the late Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh that Karen discovered first-hand the power of mindfulness as medicine, which inspired her work. This motivates her deeply to continue to share this special gift.

Karen has a keen interest in special educational needs and those with disability, teaching mindfulness to support parents, and is currently researching a new philosophy of education that is applicable to neurodiverse young people.
