Mediate with Tony SaccardiTony Saccardi started practicing secular mindfulness after his first trip to India back in 1982. It wasn’t until 2013 that he started facilitating meditation and mindfulness programs at work while working for a large financial company.  Having worked as a Director for fortune 500 companies over 25 years, his familiarity with the workplace and his knowledge of Emotional Intelligence have allowed him to make meditation more approachable to busy professionals.

Using science and recent studies to filter what works from what is mere speculation, Tony teaches meditation as a tool anyone can use to manage stress, reconnect, and live a fulfilled life.

He is a certified meditation teacher and MMI Mindfulness@Work trainer from the McLean Meditation Institute in Sedona, Arizona and a certified meditation teacher from the Shree Mahesh Heritage in Rishikesh India.  Tony is also a CTI Co-Active coach and a participant in Daniel Goleman Emotional Intelligence Coaching Certification’s first cohort.  He is not affiliated to any religion, guru, or belief system and keeps his meditations entirely secular and open to everyone.

Tony will share how meditation can help to keep the needle on optimal performance or what’s called the flow.  There is a sweet spot at work where we want to be engaged and energetic while avoiding the pitfall of stress and anxiety.  According to Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, who wrote about the flow, that sweet spot is situated somewhere between anxiety and boredom.  Not enough challenges and you get bored and disengaged, too much and stress gets the better of you.

Tony’s series of meditation is called: From Stalemate to the State of Flow – Workplace Friendly Meditations

Tony starts guiding simple meditations to develop focus, self-awareness, and to keep stress in check, then he’ll guide you into more advanced meditations to build self-confidence and connect with your inner self to help you make resonant choices.  Finally, he will help you to build on social awareness to help you create more ease in the way you interact with people.

At the end of the series, you’ll have a good notion of what self-awareness is and how to cultivate it.  You will also have built on your self-confidence and combined with your self-awareness it will give you the impetus to make the resonant choices in your life and move closer to the state of Flow.

Tony says, “This series is a set of workplace friendly meditations I encourage you to bring with you at the office and share with your co-workers.  Book a meeting room before or after business hours and invite your co-workers to join you for the 40 days of Feast for the soul.  That’s what I did five years ago and it changed my life!”
